Then you’ll pour in the tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, triple sec, sugar, and Grand Marnier. You’ll fill the blender about 1/3-full with crushed ice. I’m the margarita maker! These pineapple margaritas are really quite easy to make. Anejo tequila is a great sipping tequila too! My husband didn’t want me to use it for margaritas since the flavor of the tequila is mixed in with the strong flavors of the margaritas, but I did it anyways. It literally takes 14 years to age and produce, resulting in a smooth and flavorful tequila. This Don Julio stuff is an Anejo variety. Despite what I’ve just explained, I’m all for using good tequila for drinks. Don’t go cheap, and there’s not any real need to go all-out super expensive either. The answer to that question is to just use a tequila that you like. What’s the best tequila to use for margaritas? And these Pineapple margaritas… I love these too. FRUITY margaritas are another story- especially the margaritas that utilize fruits that aren’t really the norm. But I just don’t love them like most of the rest of the world. Maybe I’ve just not had the right one, or maybe I haven’t found the best tequila to make it awesome or something. I have never, ever been a huge fan of margaritas- you know, the classic kind.
